Donors - ICAN Seniors Association
ICAN Seniors Association got its status as a non-profit organization in January 2020. We already have more than 300 senior members associated with us. Our services include ESL learning for immigrant seniors, which helps in understanding, reading, writing, and speaking English. Apart from that, we also conduct technology training that helps senior members catch up to the latest technology such as a tablet, smartphone or computer.
ICAN Seniors Association expanded its horizon from imparting only ESL training to technology training, free tax return preparation services, cooking classes, physical activities like walking groups and Tai Chi, field trips and we are adding more classes in the coming months.
In a bid to support our endeavor, we rely on our generous donors who help us financially or otherwise, so that we can help our senior members get literate, boost their standard of living, come out of poverty and achieve their lifelong dreams.
Why Donate To Us
Donation is a noble cause itself. It helps NGOs such as ours achieve financial freedom while imparting knowledge, food, supplies or other assets to the needy. We greatly appreciate all the donors we have had at ICAN Seniors Association over the years. We rely on their generous donations as it keeps the operations at ICAN Seniors Association running.

Why We Need Your Donations
As per our annual report from 2020-2021 (as of March 31), ICAN Seniors Associate had revenue of $7,500, which is 13% higher than last year’s revenue. Our expenses have increased from $200 in 2019-20 to $3,185, which is a humongous increase by 22 times. Our dedicated services were recognized by Service Canada, who granted us about $25,000 each year since 2021. We are continually adding new seniors to our classes, increasing the number of courses and training modules, involving more teachers and volunteers to assist with our daily tasks, and more. All this requires a large sum of money and that can be possible only with donations from our generous donors.
We already have donors offering their hard-earned money as donations towards a noble cause. However, as we continue to step into 2022 with more seniors, classes, and other assets, our expenses are booming as well.
How You Can Donate
If you are willing to help us in our endeavors, you can donate as little as you want or as much as you like. Even small donations count in uplifting a senior’s journey from being illiterate to someone who goes on to achieve their dream, thanks to your contributions.
